Molly was a Fish

It was Plato who said, “No one knows whether death is really the greatest blessing a man can have, but they fear it is the greatest curse, as if they know well.”

Molly Orshanski lived an extraordinary life with us. She would brighten our days. I for one will never forget her unique personality.

Molly fought off several near death experiences in her life. There were times when I was ready to throw in the towel and light the funeral pyre to usher her into the next world. But she always came back to us. Ever resilient. We liked to joke that she had regenerative super powers.

Molly was a fish. Not “just a fish”, because none of us are “just” anything. She had a young heart, and never seemed old… as the saying goes: the idea is to die young, as late as possible.
