Bellingham Adventure

Recently we picked up our good friend Jen Johnson and headed to Bellingham for some good times. We took the "pretty" drive via Chuckanut Drive and had a beautiful view of the San Juan Islands. Our first stop was at Boulevard Park to play frisbee. It was a little soggy and hard to hold onto the frisbee so we decided to go to lunch. Actually, going to lunch was one of the main purposes for going to Bellingham. We stopped at our favorite Thai restaurant, On Rice, located in Barkley Village. It is a beautiful place with authentic decorations. Upon looking at the ceiling, Jen commented "I feel like I'm in a box of chocolates."

Our next stop was to pick up Byron and go to Mallards for ice cream and games. We enjoyed unique flavors such as Chocolate Lavender and played Sevens, one of our favorite card games. Byron had one errand to run before we took him home. He needed to stop and feed his turtle. This might not seem like a detail worth including on the big adventure but it is! We watched as the turtle caught and ate live fish. Awesome.
Finally we got some dinner at Bandito's Burritos. Here I discovered my new favorite kind of salsa "Substitute Teacher - Kinda Hot."

It was fun to visit some old friends and hang outs. We look forward to another adventure in the future.
